Lady Gaga is set to make her debut in Fortnite!
The online gaming sensation revealed that the 37-year-old pop icon will feature in Fortnite Festival Season 2: Unlock Your Talent. Players will have the chance to perform her smash hits, don recreations of her iconic Chromatica-era attire, and enjoy other exciting offerings.
This collaboration comes over four years after Gaga famously tweeted, “What’s fortnight,” on X (formerly Twitter).
Before the official announcement on Wednesday, the “Rain on Me” performer offered a sneak peek by sharing a preview photo of her in-game avatar and also corrected her previous post, writing, “*fortnite.”
Fortnite Festival Season 2 is set to launch on Feb. 22, according to the game’s website. Players will have the chance to perform a selection of Gaga’s songs such as “Applause,” “Bloody Mary,” “Born This Way,” “The Edge of Glory,” “Just Dance,” “Rain on Me,” and “Stupid Love” as Jam Tracks on a stage reminiscent of Chromatica.
Gamers who opt for the Premium Reward Track, priced at 1,800 V-Bucks, will unlock the Glitch Groove Aura and the Enigmatic Gaga Outfit, a faithful recreation of her iconic purple bodysuit from the Chromatica Ball tour, designed by Nange Magro of Dead Lotus Couture.
Additionally, the Premium Reward Track offers the Aurora Aura and various items such as the Chromatica Guitar, Chromatica Keytar, The Gaga Collection Loading Screen, Kindness Punk Emote, and Electric Sine Back Bling.
In Fortnite’s item shop, players will have the opportunity to purchase the Chromatica Armor Outfit, as well as the Chromatica Bass, Chromatica Mic, and Rain Check Emote.
Gaga has also been hinting at new music this month. She recently posted on Instagram, sharing images of herself playing piano and guitar in a recording studio, while also clarifying what her new sound won’t be.
“I’m not making a rock album,” she clarified in a caption alongside a photo of herself playing guitar while recording with a microphone on a daybed near a window.
Apart from her ventures in video games and music, Gaga is gearing up for her debut as Harley Quinn alongside Joaquin Phoenix’s Joker in “Folie á Deux.”
The musical thriller, slated to premiere in October, serves as a sequel to the 2019 Oscar-winning film, “Joker,” which depicted the transformation of a struggling stand-up comedian into a violent character, sparking chaos across Gotham City.
