In one of the photos, Gomez was pictured standing in front of a wall adorned with information about the organization, highlighting that an impressive $7 million was raised for the company in 2023 alone.

Additional images captured Gomez engaging with U.S. Surgeon General Vice Admiral Vivek Murthy, who also shared his thoughts on the event via social media. Murthy commented, “Honored to join my friend @SelenaGomez for @rarebeauty’s Mental Health Summit,” emphasizing their discussion on the significance of social connection and the positive impact of communities like Rare Beauty and the Rare Impact Fund in fostering self-acceptance, support, and healing.
Gomez’s boyfriend, Benny Blanco, also showed his support in the comments section, demonstrating solidarity with Gomez in her endeavors. The couple publicly confirmed their relationship in December 2023.
“I’m so proud of you, bb,” wrote the 36-year-old producer and songwriter, before adding a second message, “You inspire me 😍.”
In October 2023, the singer of “Love On” hosted her inaugural Rare Impact Fund Benefit at Nya Studios in Hollywood to raise funds for youth mental health organizations.
During the event, she delivered a speech to attendees and shared that her involvement “stemmed from some of the darkest moments in my life.”
“I struggled with the world inside my head for a long time and I felt lost and hopeless at times. In 2020, I received my diagnosis of bipolar disorder. To be honest, everything quickly changed,” Gomez shared.
“I finally got the knowledge and answers that I had been desperate for for so long. Understanding this has made me more aware and less afraid than I used to be.”
Before concluding her emotional speech, the Disney alum emphasized that launching her mental health fund is “probably the most important thing that I’ve ever done.”
In addition, her 2022 documentary, “Selena Gomez: My Mind & Me,” delves deeply into her mental health journey, highlighting both triumphs and setbacks.
