The flirty track is the newest single from the couple’s upcoming joint album, I Said I Love You First.
Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco’s latest single carries a romantic backstory, making its sultry music video a fitting match.
On Friday, March 14, the couple — who got engaged in December 2024 — released their new track “Sunset Blvd” from their upcoming collaborative album, I Said I Love You First. The video embraces a retro aesthetic, complementing the song’s intimate vibe.
Just days before the release, Gomez, 32, took to Instagram to share her “first official photo” with Blanco, 37, while revealing the single’s inspiration.
“Our first date was on Sunset Blvd, and it’s also the title of our next song together 🖤 Sunset Blvd out March 14 with @itsbennyblanco,” she wrote.
“P.S. this is our first official photo together,” Gomez added, posting a cozy black-and-white picture of the pair snuggled up under a blanket.
The music video opens with vintage-style shots of Los Angeles’ Sunset Boulevard before transitioning to Gomez, dressed in lingerie, gazing thoughtfully out of a rain-streaked window. As she daydreams about Blanco, the Emilia Pérez actress sings suggestively, “I can’t wait to hold it, hold that / big big hard heart.”
The chorus of the track includes the steamy lines: “With open arms / holding you naked / middle of Sunset Boulevard.” In the verses, Gomez continues, “Feels so good it hurts / but you fill up what’s broken / woman of few words / but for you I keep my mouth wide open,” as Blanco joins her in the bedroom scene.
During the bridge, Gomez sings seductively, “I just wanna touch it, touch it / try your hardest not to bust it / gimme gimme how I love your big, big heart,” while sensually moving on a bed.
Blanco makes several appearances in the provocative video, even appearing in miniature form at one point — with Gomez dramatically pretending to eat him in one bite by the end of the clip.
