Sabrina Carpenter Surprises London Crowd with Duran Duran for ‘Hungry Like the Wolf’ Performance: ‘Absolutely Incredible’

By Website Content Manager

“Thought it’d be fun to invite a few of my friends from the U.K.,” Carpenter hinted during her BST Hyde Park performance.

Sabrina Carpenter knows how to thrill a crowd—especially when it comes to surprise guests.

During her second London show on Sunday, July 6, the “Manchild” singer brought out none other than Duran Duran to join her onstage for a rendition of their 1982 classic, “Hungry Like the Wolf.”

Performing at BST Hyde Park, Carpenter, 26, introduced frontman Simon Le Bon and bassist John Taylor to a cheering crowd. Le Bon, 66, kicked things off with the opening verse, while Carpenter joined him on the chorus and took over vocals for the second verse. To close out the performance, she even led the audience in a collective howl—fully embracing the spirit of the song.

Before the surprise, Carpenter teased the crowd: “Thought it might be fun to invite a few of my friends from the U.K.,” she said in fan-captured video shared on social media. “I’m gonna need you all to put that howling to good use. Please make some serious noise for the iconic Duran Duran!”

As Simon Le Bon and John Taylor stepped onto the stage, Le Bon greeted the London crowd with an enthusiastic, “Good evening, London!”

The legendary band later shared their excitement on Instagram Stories, posting four snapshots from the surprise performance. “Tonight, Simon & John joined @sabrinacarpenter at @bsthydepark as special guests to perform ‘Hungry Like the Wolf.’ It was amazing ⚡,” they captioned the images.

Originally featured on their second album Rio, “Hungry Like the Wolf” became a massive hit for Duran Duran, peaking at No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100 and remaining their most-streamed track to date.

Duran Duran most recently dropped their 16th studio album, Danse Macabre—a Halloween-inspired project—in 2023, following their induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2022.

As for Carpenter, she’s gearing up to release her seventh album, Man’s Best Friend, on August 29. Its lead single, “Manchild,” debuted at No. 1 last month, marking a major milestone in her career.

She’s also slated to headline Lollapalooza in Chicago this August, before launching into a new leg of her tour this fall.

Celebrating her chart-topping success, Carpenter shared a heartfelt message with fans on June 18: “Because of you—‘Manchild’ is my first debut #1 in the US and the UK 🙏 I love you so much it don’t make no sense! Thank you endlessly!”
