Hosted by Snoop Dogg, the 2026 MTV VMAs will broadcast live on Sept. 26 across CBS, MTV and Paramount+, with the ceremony taking place at Los Angeles’ Peacock Theater.
MTV revealed on Thursday, Sept. 17, that Lisa, RAYE, Sienna Spiro, Shaboozey, GENER8ION, Gunna and Yung Lean are among the artists scheduled to perform at this year’s awards ceremony later this month.
Lisa, 29, is set to give the first televised live performance of her new song “SaWaDiKa,” which will appear on her forthcoming PRESS PLAY EP. The project is scheduled to arrive Friday, Oct. 23.
RAYE, 28, and Spiro will each make their first-ever VMAs performance appearances during the ceremony.
Shaboozey, 31, will also take the VMAs stage for the first time, joining Gunna, 33, for a performance of their latest collaboration, “Cowgirl.” Meanwhile, GENER8ION and Yung Lean, 33, are slated to make their VMAs debuts with the world premiere of their track “STORM II.”
Each of the seven newly announced performers is also among the nominees for the 2026 MTV VMAs.
The expanded lineup follows MTV’s announcement earlier this week that Madonna will open the ceremony with her first VMAs performance in 23 years. The 68-year-old pop icon leads this year’s nominations with 11 nods, including Artist of the Year, Video of the Year for Confessions II – The Film and Song of the Year for “Bring Your Love,” her collaboration with Sabrina Carpenter.
Taylor Swift follows with nine nominations, while Ariana Grande and Carpenter each received seven. Bruno Mars, PinkPantheress and Zara Larsson earned five nominations apiece, while Lisa received four. Shakira and Tate McRae each picked up three nominations.
The 2026 MTV VMAs, hosted by Snoop Dogg, will air live Sept. 26 on CBS, MTV and Paramount+ from Los Angeles’ Peacock Theater.
