Olivia Rodrigo Falls Through Stage Trapdoor During Guts World Tour Performance: ‘Oh My God!’

By Website Content Manager

“I’m OK. Wow, sometimes there’s just a hole in the stage,” the three-time Grammy winner reassured her worried fans.

Olivia Rodrigo had a rough moment onstage during the third of eight shows on her Guts World Tour in Australia. The 21-year-old “So American” singer accidentally fell through a hole in the stage at Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena on October 13, prompting gasps and screams from the audience, as seen in fan-recorded videos shared on X and TikTok.

Laughing off the mishap as she climbed back up, Rodrigo assured the crowd, “Oh my God, that was fun! I’m OK.” Rising to her feet, she added with a grin, “Wow, sometimes there’s just a hole in the stage.”

She later shared a clip of the incident on TikTok, humorously captioning it, “#subtleforeshadowing.”

“That’s alright,” the Sour artist continued, taking a deep breath with her left hand on her head and her right hand on the microphone. “OK, where was I? How’s everyone doing tonight, Melbourne?”

Rodrigo quickly moved past the incident and completed the concert. The international pop sensation has one more show in Melbourne and four shows in Sydney remaining on the Australian leg of her Guts World Tour.

This mishap comes just weeks before the release of her Netflix concert film, Olivia Rodrigo: Guts World Tour, set to premiere on October 29.

“In her announcement for the concert film, Rodrigo expressed, ‘If you missed the chance to experience the show live, now you can enjoy the best seats from home! And to all the fans who supported me with cheers, screams, and dancing, I’m thrilled we can relive those moments together!'”

Rodrigo’s performances in Australia will be her last shows of the 2024 tour. The Guts World Tour will continue in March 2025, kicking off with Lollapalooza in Argentina, Chile, and Brazil. Additionally, the tour will make a stop in Colombia for the Festival Estereo Picnic before concluding in Manchester at Co-op Live on June 30 and July 1.
