Kelsea Ballerini Joins Jonas Brothers on Stage in Dallas: ‘So Great Being Back with the Guys’

By Website Content Manager

Ballerini teamed up with the trio to sing her 2015 ballad “Peter Pan,” then stayed onstage to join them for their 2009 track “Fly With Me.”

Fans at the Jonas Brothers’ Dallas concert got an extra treat when Kelsea Ballerini made a surprise appearance.

On Sunday, Aug. 31, the country star joined the trio during their JONAS20: Greetings From Your Hometown Tour stop at the Dos Equis Pavilion, a show that was also livestreamed on Samsung TV Plus.

Introducing her to the crowd, Nick Jonas said, “We have lived a lot of life already with this next performer. She’s really part of the family,” according to fan-recorded TikTok clips. He went on to recall their past collaborations: “A couple of years ago we had the wonderful pleasure of bringing her on tour, and throughout the years, we’ve had the fortune of doing several performances. But tonight, she was gracious enough to come out and be here for this incredible Dallas crowd.”

“Please welcome to the stage our friend, your friend, Kelsea Ballerini,” added Jonas, 32.

As reported by Billboard, Ballerini, 31, first teamed up with the group for her 2015 hit “Peter Pan” before joining them again for their 2009 fan favorite “Fly With Me.”

After the performance, the “Baggage” singer shared a playful reaction on TikTok, writing: “definitely don’t tell 13 year old me i was barefoot bee bopping on stage singing fly with me with the @Jonas Brothers.” The post featured footage of her singing alongside the “Sucker” band.

The surprises didn’t stop with Kelsea Ballerini’s cameo.

Fans at the Aug. 31 Dallas concert were treated to a long-awaited reunion when Lauren Jauregui, Normani, Dinah Jane, and Ally Brooke of Fifth Harmony took the stage together for the first time since the group went on hiatus in 2018. The foursome performed two of their biggest hits—2015’s “Worth It” and 2017’s “Work From Home”—to the crowd’s delight.

The Jonas Brothers kept the star power coming, bringing out Ryan Cabrera for a rendition of his 2004 single “On the Way Down,” followed by the Plain White T’s, who performed their 2005 classic “Hey There Delilah.”

Meanwhile, Ballerini has been reflecting on her own schedule. Speaking with PEOPLE, she shared that she’s looking forward to her upcoming shows in Australia later this year, as well as some much-needed rest. “I wish I could sit here and tell you I had a bunch up my sleeve. I really don’t for the first time in a long time, and I’m learning to be comfortable with that,” she said.
