In her latest release from the upcoming album 143, which drops on September 20, the pop star shares a kiss with a man while they are skydiving.

Katy Perry delivered an unforgettable performance in the music video for “I’m His, He’s Mine.”

Released on Friday, September 13, the pop star’s catchy collaboration with Doechii is set to appear on her upcoming album, 143. Directed by Torso, the video kicks off with Perry, 39, skydiving and sharing a kiss with a man mid-air. She later dazzles atop a silver Corvette while clad in a metallic bikini. As the car speeds along a picturesque road in Barcelona, Perry slides down the windshield and impressively performs the splits while singing. Meanwhile, Doechii showcases her dance moves in an elevator during her part of the song.

After being playfully tossed off the car into the arms of a handsome man, Perry reunites with Doechii, and the two engage in a playful crawl across the floor. Doechii then takes to the skies on a large drone while Perry indulges in multiple romantic moments throughout the video.

“I’m his queen, I’m his freak / I’m everything he desires and needs / I’m his dream, I’m his addiction / I’m the woman he wants, so what?” Perry sings, leading into Doechii’s verse: “I’m his boss, I’m that girl / I’m every woman he recognizes / I’m his main, I’m his side / I’m every woman in his thoughts.”

The release of the song and music video follows Perry’s receipt of the Video Vanguard Award at the 2024 MTV VMAs on September 11.

Prior to accepting her award, Perry captivated the audience with an impressive nearly 10-minute performance featuring hits like “Dark Horse,” “E.T.,” “Teenage Dream,” “I Kissed a Girl,” “Firework,” and “Lifetimes.” Doechii also joined her on stage for the live debut of “I’m His, He’s Mine.”

After receiving her accolade, Perry humorously noted that she performed under challenging conditions.

“I performed all of that on the first day of my period, and I couldn’t believe it,” she shared with the audience, expressing her gratitude to MTV for embracing her “weirdness” from the beginning.

Perry continued, “Many elements need to come together for a long and successful career as an artist. There are no decade-long accidents. My team, which has supported me for over 20 years, along with my direct management and Capitol Records, trust me. It requires a strong group of people, healthy discussions, and plenty of group chats.”

She also gave a heartfelt shout-out to her fiancé Orlando Bloom for helping her stay “grounded” and for “doing the dishes,” referencing her recent interview on Call Her Daddy where she mentioned that knowing her partner handles that chore is appealing to her. Additionally, she honored her daughter, Daisy Dove.
