The 22-year-old pop star released the music video for her new single “Serendipity” on April 7, featuring Hughes, her parents, and a large-scale theatrical production. In the video, Siwa delivers an elaborate dance performance on stage while Hughes, completely unaware of what’s about to happen, watches from the audience, visibly delighted.
Siwa took full creative control of the project, directing, choreographing, and producing it herself. The production involved five days of rehearsals, 86 dancers, and 24 hidden cameras designed to capture Hughes’ genuine reaction. As the curtain rises, Hughes, along with his friend and Siwa’s parents, can be seen smiling, laughing, and fully immersed in the moment. The former Love Island star even sings along before giving Siwa a standing ovation, clearly stunned by the surprise.
Speaking about the project, Siwa shared that she had been holding onto “Serendipity” until the timing felt right. She reflected on how entering the Big Brother house a year ago changed her life in unexpected ways, with the word “serendipity” perfectly capturing how something unplanned can turn into something meaningful and destined.
The couple originally met during season 24 of Celebrity Big Brother UK, where their friendship eventually blossomed into a romantic relationship after the show. Marking their anniversary, Hughes posted a sweet tribute recalling their first interaction, while Siwa expressed gratitude for the experience that transformed her life and perspective.
Earlier, Siwa also revealed that the song was inspired by her relationship with Hughes, describing their connection as something that felt meant to be. She even hinted at future wedding plans following her brother Jayden Siwa’s recent wedding, where Hughes played a role in the celebration.
