JoJo Siwa Always Wanted to Have Her Miley Cyrus Bangerz Moment with New Look: ‘This Is My 180’

Siwa released a risque music video to her song “Karma” on Friday, marking a new era for the former child star

JoJo Siwa, who many know as the girl with the high pony and big bow, has left that part of her life in the past and is romanticizing her rebrand.

Opening up about her decision to change her look on Call Her Daddy Tuesday, Siwa, 20, revealed that she drew inspiration from Miley Cyrus‘ Bangerz moment in 2013.

“When I was 8 is when Miley had her Bangerz moment and I was like, ‘All I want is to have that one day.’ I want that,” the former Dance Moms star told host Alex Cooper on the podcast, referencing Cyrus’ fourth studio album that let her inner wild child shine.

“Honestly since I was 15 my whole inner circle has been talking about it and getting excited for it,” Siwa continued. “And then two years ago is when I started writing new music. I got out of my Nickelodeon music contract.”
