Lopez is set to launch Jennifer Lopez: Up All Night Live in Las Vegas on December 30.

When it comes to delivering a show-stopping performance, Jennifer Lopez knows exactly how to rise to the occasion.

As she prepares for her upcoming Las Vegas residency, the superstar is giving fans a behind-the-scenes look at the intense preparation involved. In an exclusive video debuting with PEOPLE, Lopez pulls back the curtain on the hard work and precision required to bring her latest production to life.

During rehearsals, the 56-year-old performer playfully strikes bold poses while observing her dancers run through choreography for her 2007 hit “Do It Well.” The fan-favorite track will return to her live set for the first time in several years. At one point, Lopez offers direction, encouraging the dancers to reset and approach the movement with more refinement.

The clip transitions into a fast-paced montage of Lopez practicing her own choreography as the song plays, teasing what audiences can expect from the show. Viewers get brief glimpses of dramatic stage designs, high-energy dance sequences, and elaborate visual elements.

Off-camera, a member of the production team praises Lopez’s work ethic and talent, marveling at how quickly she masters complex routines and applauding her performance skills.

The video wraps with Lopez celebrating alongside her dancers and crew, exchanging high fives and lightheartedly acknowledging the demanding rehearsals. She reassures the team that the process will become easier while also expressing pride in their progress and dedication.

Lopez is set to debut Jennifer Lopez: Up All Night Live in Las Vegas at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace during New Year’s Eve week. The residency will include shows on December 30 and 31, followed by performances on January 2 and 3, with an additional eight dates scheduled for March.

A press release notes that the show will feature major hits spanning Lopez’s decades-long career, along with brand-new songs that audiences have never heard before.

This marks Lopez’s return to Las Vegas several years after wrapping Jennifer Lopez: All I Have at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino. That residency ran from 2016 to 2018, included 120 performances, and generated more than $100 million in revenue.

Her most recent studio album, This Is Me… Now, was released in February 2024. Lopez announced the new residency in May, shortly after hosting the 2025 American Music Awards—where she also made headlines for debuting eight different outfits throughout the night.
