Hilary Duff launched her Lucky Me Tour on June 22.
Hilary Duff isn’t letting online criticism dim her confidence.
As she continues traveling across the United States on her Lucky Me Tour, the singer has been showcasing a variety of stage looks. While some fans have praised her wardrobe, one social media user questioned her fashion choices, prompting another fan to step in with a defense.
An Instagram user shared footage from one of Duff’s performances after seeing a comment that read, “Hilary Duff obviously didn’t spend any money on her wardrobe. Wearing sweatpants?” The fan pushed back by writing, “Actually she’s a baddie that did 5 quick outfit changes during her performance.”
The video montage highlighted several of Duff’s costume changes throughout the show. Among the featured looks were a slip dress layered over jeans that quickly transitioned into a fringed crop-top ensemble, along with a silky white dress and a sparkling sequined halter top.
Duff, 38, appeared to acknowledge the supportive post by giving it a like on Instagram.
The Lucky Me Tour began on June 22 in West Palm Beach, Florida, following her more intimate Small Rooms, Big Nerves tour. That earlier run featured fan favorites like “Why Not” and “Come Clean” in addition to songs from her February 2026 album, Luck… or Something. Her current tour is set to continue through early 2027, with the final scheduled stop taking place in Zapopan, Mexico, on Feb. 15.
In an interview with PEOPLE in April, Duff shared her excitement about performing for larger crowds after gaining confidence through smaller shows.
“It’s so special getting to see everyone’s faces and performing in such an intimate setting,” she said at the time. “It really helped me build my confidence, but now I feel like I’ve found my rhythm and know exactly what I’m doing.”
Beyond returning to the stage, Duff celebrated another major achievement earlier this year when she was chosen as one of the cover stars for the 2026 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue.
She appeared alongside Alix Earle, Tiffany Haddish, and Nicole Williams English on the magazine’s annual cover, posing in a plunging one-piece swimsuit.
During an appearance on Kylie Kelce’s Not Gonna Lie with Kylie Kelce podcast, Duff reflected on the photo shoot and explained that she was intentional about the swimwear she chose.
She said the team respected her boundaries after she explained which styles made her feel confident. As a mother of four, Duff wanted to celebrate her body while staying true to what felt comfortable, adding that having those conversations made the experience empowering.
“I am so proud of my body,” she said.
