Harry Styles is opening a new chapter with the announcement of his latest single.
The 31-year-old British artist revealed on Tuesday, Jan. 20, that his new track, “Aperture,” will arrive later this week. The release serves as the first preview of his forthcoming fourth studio album, Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally.
The single is scheduled to drop on Thursday, Jan. 22 at 7 p.m. ET.
Styles shared the news on Instagram, posting a behind-the-scenes photo from the studio. In the image, he appears mid-celebration, smiling widely with his arms extended.
“Aperture” is Styles’ first solo release since his 2023 song “Satellite.” The title references a photography term describing the adjustable opening in a camera lens that controls how much light enters, influencing both brightness and depth — a fitting metaphor for the new era he seems to be introducing.
The upcoming album, which will feature 12 tracks, is set for release on March 6. It marks his first full-length project since Harry’s House in 2022, an album that earned him multiple Grammy Awards, including Album of the Year, Best Pop Vocal Album, and Best Engineered Album (Non-Classical).
In recent weeks, Styles has been subtly hinting at new music. He launched a website, WeBelongTogether.co, which includes an image of him seated at an outdoor art class and an interactive spinning wheel labeled “disco” and “kiss.” Fans who interact with the feature are directed to a phone number associated with his team.
Meanwhile, posters bearing the phrase “we belong together” have appeared in major cities worldwide, including New York, Berlin, and Palermo, Italy, fueling excitement ahead of the announcement.
Styles previously supported Harry’s House with his expansive Love on Tour, a two-year global run that concluded in July 2023. Reflecting on the experience in an Instagram post, he described the tour as the most meaningful of his career and thanked fans for their unwavering support.
Since taking a step back from public life, Styles has largely stayed out of the spotlight. He has been seen spending time in Italy with girlfriend Zoë Kravitz and even completed the Berlin Marathon in September.
