Get ready, Bardigang!
Cardi B is gearing up to drop new music this Friday. The rap icon, aged 31, took to social media on Tuesday to announce the upcoming release of her latest single, “Enough (Miami),” accompanied by the track’s cover art.
In the steamy cover image, the Grammy-winning artist poses nude atop a powder blue satin bench, exuding confidence and allure. With her makeup meticulously applied to give her skin a radiant, porcelain-like glow reminiscent of the viral Pat McGrath looks seen at the Maison Margiela Show during Paris Fashion Week, she seamlessly blends with the sheen of the sofa.
Cardi B’s long, elegantly styled hair cascades over her shoulder as she lies on her stomach, evoking the image of a captivating mermaid.
In the caption, she tantalizingly hinted at the single’s impending release date, stating, “ENOUGH (MIAMI) OUT THIS FRIDAY 😉.”
Fans eagerly expressed their anticipation for new music from the hip-hop artist in the comments section. One fan exclaimed, “I’m sorry for the person I’m about to become when this song launches.”
Others commented on the stunning appearance of the hitmaker in the image. “She is exactly the queen she thinks she is! 😍🔥,” remarked another fan.
Several of Cardi’s celebrity friends also chimed in to show their support. Taraji P. Henson exclaimed, “COME AAAAWWWWLLLL THA WAY THROUGH 🔥🔥😍😍😍🥶🥶🥶,” while Niecy Nash sweetly added, “Pretty girl 😍😍😍😍.”
The reveal of “Enough (Miami)” follows a few days after the “Bodak Yellow” rapper teased fans with a snippet of the song. Cardi B shared a video of herself in the studio, dressed casually, and passionately lip-syncing to the track in the clip.
From the sound of it, the forthcoming release appears to showcase a menacing beat and a return to Cardi B’s signature rapid-fire, East Coast rap style reminiscent of her debut and early mixtape days. In terms of lyrics, she confidently asserts her dominance while issuing warnings to any potential adversaries, drawing inspiration from Crime Mob’s 2004 hit “Knuck If You Buck.”
“Enough (Miami)” follows the release of “Like What (Freestyle),” a standalone track dropped by Cardi B a few weeks ago, which samples the 1999 Missy Elliott classic “She’s a Bitch.”
Accompanying the track was a music video directed by Cardi B’s estranged husband, Offset, with whom she confirmed her split in December, although they have been seen together on several occasions since then.
In the summer of 2023, Cardi B reunited with Megan Thee Stallion for the first time since their viral hit “WAP” with the release of “Bongos.”
As of now, it remains unconfirmed whether Cardi B’s recent singles will be included on her upcoming sophomore album, a project she has hinted at multiple times in recent years.
When the album does eventually drop, it will mark the follow-up to Cardi B’s breakout debut studio album, “Invasion of Privacy,” released in 2018, which featured chart-topping hits such as “Bartier Cardi,” “Bodak Yellow,” and “Drip.”
