Ariana Grande has shared a fresh update on her upcoming Eternal Sunshine tour.
Speaking with E! News on Sunday, Jan. 4, at the Critics Choice Awards in Los Angeles, the singer and actress discussed her first tour in six years and how preparations are coming along. Grande revealed that she has been carefully curating the setlist for months, saying the plan is shaping up well so far.
She noted, however, that everything will truly come together once rehearsals begin in the near future, explaining that it’s only then she’ll know if the songs and staging fully work in practice. Despite fan curiosity, Grande chose to keep details under wraps, emphasizing that she wants concertgoers to experience the shows as a surprise.
Previously, in November 2025, Grande talked about the tour during a conversation with Nicole Kidman for Interview magazine, where she disclosed that the 2026 run will be more limited than her past tours. She explained that the schedule includes around 45 shows — significantly fewer than she’s done earlier in her career.
The “Into You” singer expressed enthusiasm about the scaled-back tour, sharing that her excitement feels different this time. According to Grande, she has spent the past few years repairing her relationship with music and live performances, which has made this upcoming experience especially meaningful.
That same month, Grande appeared on the Good Hang with Amy Poehler podcast, where she reflected on the next phase of her life and career. She hinted that the coming years will look very different from the previous decade and spoke cautiously about her touring future.
While she stopped short of making long-term promises, Grande said she is deeply grateful for the opportunity to embark on this tour, calling it a beautiful experience and suggesting it may be a rare moment for her and her fans.
