Kelly Clarkson Delays Launch of Las Vegas Residency Due to Vocal Strain
Kelly Clarkson has announced a delay in the debut of her new Las Vegas residency.
In a message posted on Instagram on Friday, July 4 — just hours ahead of her scheduled performance — Clarkson shared, “We’ve been working nonstop to make Studio Sessions an incredibly personal and unforgettable experience for my amazing fans. I’m deeply thankful for your continued support, and it breaks my heart to postpone tonight’s and tomorrow’s opening shows at Caesars.”
She went on to explain that the intense preparation and rehearsals had impacted her voice: “All the work leading up to this has taken a toll, and I want to ensure the show is flawless for you. In order to avoid any serious vocal damage, I’m taking this weekend and the following week to rest and recover, so we can bring you the performance you truly deserve.”
The 43-year-old singer emphasized the quality of the production, saying, “This show is absolutely incredible — the musicians and singers are phenomenal — and I want us to kick things off at our best.”
Originally announced in February, Kelly Clarkson: Studio Sessions – The Las Vegas Residency was slated to begin July 4 at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace, with 18 shows scheduled through November 15.
“I can’t wait to return to Vegas!” Clarkson said at the time, reflecting on her previously sold-out shows at PH Live at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino in 2023 and 2024. “With Studio Sessions, we’re transforming the stage into a live studio experience. Can’t wait to see you all there!”
