The pop sensation is set to drop fresh music on November 9th.

Dua Lipa enthusiasts are gearing up to groove to her upcoming music.
The 28-year-old pop sensation made a formal announcement on Wednesday, revealing her new single, “Houdini.” The track is scheduled to be released on November 9th at 7 p.m. Eastern Time.
The Grammy winner confirmed the impending release through an Instagram post showcasing the single’s artwork. The alluring cover art showcases the artist with her recently unveiled auburn hair, sensually interacting with her own reflection in a mirror.
In the caption, she not only revealed the release date but also paid homage to the song’s namesake, magician Harry Houdini, by including a handcuff emoji, a reference to one of his most famous tricks.
Dua Lipa has been quite the trickster herself in the lead-up to this announcement. Prior to unveiling “Houdini,” the “Don’t Start Now” artist cleared her Instagram and TikTok accounts and updated her Instagram profile picture to a new image of herself, while her TikTok, Twitter (formerly known as X), and streaming platforms featured a kaleidoscopic image.
In the past few weeks, the chart-topper has been sharing and promptly deleting cryptic teasers, with the clips themselves showcasing illusions, including mirrored images, close-ups of the “Levitating” singer, and footage of her playfully handling a key on her tongue.

While the teasers may have been archived on Instagram, they are still available on her X profile, starting with a picture of her debuting her new auburn look on October 12, along with the caption “miss me?”
Subsequent posts include phrases like “catch me or I go…,” “I’m not here for long,” and the emojis “🔑✨,” encouraging fans to sign up for updates on her website.
Fans are speculating that “Houdini” marks the beginning of Dua Lipa’s next album era. Her most recent full-length album was released in 2020, titled “Future Nostalgia,” which received critical acclaim and won several Grammy awards. The album featured some of her biggest hits, including “Levitating,” “Don’t Start Now,” and “Break My Heart.”
While it has been three years since the pop star’s last full-length album, Dua Lipa has continued to release a series of hit singles in the meantime. Most notably, she recently collaborated with producer Mark Ronson on “Dance the Night,” featured on the Barbie soundtrack.
Additionally, Lipa has been involved in various high-profile collaborations, including her 2022 partnership with Megan Thee Stallion on “Sweetest Pie” and her appearance on Calvin Harris’ “Potion,” part of the “Funk Wav Bounces Vol. 2” album, which also features Young Thug.
Dua Lipa, who has recently ventured into acting with a cameo in “Barbie” and an upcoming starring role in the 2024 spy thriller “Argyle,” has emphasized that music remains a central focus in her life in recent months.
During an August interview with Vogue France, when asked about her desire to have children, the disco-pop singer responded, “The only baby I’m thinking about is my new album.”
She went on to say, “For me, when the time is right, I’ll know. But for now, I have other priorities. I want to make the most of my youth.”
