Taylor Swift responded to achieving two No. 1 songs from the same album — a milestone she hasn’t reached since her 1989 era.

“Opalite” serves as the second single from Taylor Swift’s 12th studio album, The Life of a Showgirl.

Taylor Swift recently had a new reason to celebrate.

On Monday, Feb. 23, the pop star posted a heartfelt message on Instagram thanking her fans for helping her achieve two No. 1 hits from the same album for the first time since her 2014 record 1989.

In her caption, Swift shared a few memories related to “Opalite,” the second single from her album The Life of a Showgirl, celebrating its rise to the top of the Billboard Hot 100. She said she was overwhelmed by the support the song and its video received and expressed deep gratitude to fans for embracing the track. She also pointed out that it had been nearly 12 years since she last earned two chart-topping songs from the same album.

Swift joked that she was so excited she felt like she was “bouncing off the walls” and playfully mentioned celebrating by buying a giant pretzel at the mall.

Along with her message, she shared behind-the-scenes content from the making of “Opalite.” One clip showed her working in the studio with producer Max Martin, while other footage captured her on the music video set wearing an ’80s-inspired outfit and brown wig. In one moment, she remarked that she felt completely like herself while in costume. Additional posts included scenes of her recording vocals and celebrating with Martin and producer Shellback.

Earlier in the month, Swift had also shared photos from the video shoot, saying she wanted to preserve every detail of the fun experience. She teased extended versions of the video featuring dance lessons, cameo appearances, and playful retro styling.

The “Opalite” music video, which premiered Feb. 6, features appearances from actors and personalities including Domhnall Gleeson, Graham Norton, Lewis Capaldi, Greta Lee, Jodie Turner-Smith, and a surprise cameo by Cillian Murphy.
