Sabrina Carpenter Experiences an Espresso-Induced Hallucination in Latest Olympics Promo

In NBC’s latest promo for the Paris Olympics, the “Please Please Please” singer has a one-sided conversation with a bird.
Sabrina Carpenter is buzzing with excitement for the upcoming Summer Olympics!
In a new promo released by NBC on Monday, July 15, on YouTube, the 25-year-old pop star enthusiastically discusses the upcoming Paris Olympics with a virtual bird.
While sipping an espresso at a Parisian cafe, the “Espresso” singer reflects on what she’s most excited to see at the global event.
“Oh, well hello there handsome,” she begins, responding to the blue bird tweeting at her and interrupting her newspaper reading. “Why, yes I am Sabrina Carpenter. Oh, thank you, it’s so nice to meet a fan.”
She playfully suggests that the bird’s chirps are flirtatious before adding, “What am I doing in Paris? Isn’t it obvious? The Olympics.”
As her song plays in the background, Carpenter excitedly shares what she’s looking forward to, presumably in response to a question.
“The amazing opening ceremony on the Seine, Simone’s epic comeback, the U.S.A./Australia rivalry in the pool, and the world’s fastest man and woman, Noah and Sha’Carri racing for Team USA. I’ve never been more excited for anything in my life,” she tells the bird, as sports footage rolls.
After acknowledging Paris Olympians Simone Biles, Noah Lyles, and Sha’Carri Richardson, the “Feather” singer jokingly scolds the bird for flirting once more.
“You need to behave yourself,” she laughs, as the camera widens to reveal Carpenter alone at the table, talking to herself amidst the cafe’s outdoor tables.
“One server remarked to a colleague in French that she seems to have had her fill of espresso, as the charming promotional clip concluded.
Carpenter’s most recent partnership infused with espresso occurred less than a month following her introduction of a special edition coffee-flavored ice cream with Van Leeuwen, and just 11 days before the Olympics commence on NBC.”
