Meghan Trainor shared that giving up coffee made her recognize she had been pushing herself too hard.

Meghan Trainor believes giving up coffee may have been one of the most impactful choices she’s made—and it all stemmed from an unexpected message delivered to her husband, Daryl Sabara, by a psychic.

In a recent interview with People, the 31-year-old singer opened up about her upcoming Get in Girl Tour and her latest track, Still Don’t Care. While discussing the challenges of balancing life on tour with raising two children, she shared how the decision to quit caffeine came about.

According to Trainor, Sabara had attended a psychic session—someone who had never met her—but still offered a striking observation. The psychic reportedly told him that Trainor was relying heavily on coffee to keep up with her nonstop routine, warning that the habit was doing more harm than good and leading to burnout.

Hearing this left Trainor stunned. She questioned how the psychic could know something so accurate. After Sabara relayed the message, she decided to stop drinking coffee immediately. She explained that she had been consuming it throughout the day just to maintain her energy levels, only to feel drained later and wired at night when trying to sleep.

At that point, the “Made You Look” singer realized her body was out of balance. Despite maintaining a healthy diet and regular workouts, she wasn’t feeling well physically. Eventually, she recognized that overworking herself was the root of the problem.

Although quitting caffeine abruptly was difficult—she described the first week as especially challenging—Trainor says the change ultimately paid off. She now feels more energized than before and considers the experience transformative.

Looking ahead to her tour, set to begin in June 2026, the “All About That Bass” artist plans to keep up her usual fast-paced routine. Her days start early with her children, followed by family outings like visits to amusement parks or museums. After spending time together, she handles soundcheck and prepares for her performance, even coordinating childcare with help from her husband, her mom, and their nanny.

She described the pre-show routine as hectic, with multiple adults managing bath time and bedtime for the kids while she gets ready. Once her children are settled for the night, she heads onstage and performs before finally getting some rest around midnight. The next day, she repeats the same demanding schedule all over again.
