“Meghan Trainor Addresses Fans After Viral Nicki Minaj Challenge Clip Leaves Some Saying She Looks Different.”

By Website Content Manager

“Back in March, the singer shared that in addition to working with a trainer and dietitian, she had begun using the weight-loss medication Mounjaro, a GLP-1 treatment.”

Meghan Trainor Claps Back at TikTok Comments About Her Weight Loss

Meghan Trainor isn’t letting TikTok users’ remarks bring her down.

On Thursday, Aug. 21, the 31-year-old singer joined the viral Nicki Minaj Challenge on TikTok. The trend typically involves participants in stilettos balancing one foot on various objects, but Trainor put her own spin on it, filming in a weight room while wearing sneakers and standing on tiptoe.

Soon after the clip was posted, commenters began focusing less on her performance and more on her appearance. One user wrote, “I didn’t even recognize her..?” while others echoed similar thoughts.

The following day, Trainor replied with a lighthearted video. Lip-syncing to Megan Thee Stallion’s audio saying, “I don’t care if these bitches don’t like me… what could a hoe say with a face like this and bitch this paid,” she captioned the post: “Glam team really did that 🤍 @Danyul Brown @eros @hairbyiggy #megantheestallion.”

Despite her playful response, comments continued to pour in about her transformation, including references to GLP-1 injectables such as tirzepatide (Mounjaro). Though originally a Type 2 diabetes treatment, the medication is also widely used for weight management by suppressing appetite and improving how the body processes sugar and fat. Some viewers chimed in with comments like, “GLP-1 in the house!!” while another added, “This makes me so sad 🙁 I miss the bass.”

These conversations follow Trainor’s own openness about her health journey. In March, she revealed that after facing scrutiny over her weight loss, she began taking Mounjaro alongside working with a trainer and dietitian. Later that month, while speaking at Billboard’s 2025 Women in Music Awards, she explained that she decided to start the medication after welcoming her second child with husband Daryl Sabara.

“I’ve been on a journey to be the healthiest, strongest version of myself for my kids and for me,” Trainor said at the event. “Yes, I used science and support (shoutout to Mounjaro!) to help me after my 2nd pregnancy. And I’m so glad I did because I feel great.”

In April, she went on to share on her Workin’ On It podcast — co-hosted with Sabara — that her husband, 32, is also taking Mounjaro. She emphasized, however, that the medication isn’t the whole story: “You have to put in the work as well,” she said, noting that both she and Sabara are committed to maintaining healthy habits alongside medical support.
