“I can’t imagine a more fulfilling life,” expressed the frontman to PEOPLE. “I have so much love for it.”
“One more night? How about 16 more.
Following an immensely successful Las Vegas residency, Maroon 5 is set to repeat the experience with another 16-show run at Park MGM starting on May 17, 2024.
“I’m really looking forward to doing it again, and honestly could never have told you that before we started,” lead singer Adam Levine candidly shared exclusively with PEOPLE, confessing his initial skepticism about the residency. “I had no idea what to expect. Obviously, I went into it with an open mind and a good attitude, but I was actually shocked at how much I enjoyed it.”
During M5LV The Residency, Levine found himself “really cozy and comfortable, probably more so than I ever had been,” he said.”
The year 2023 unfolded as a remarkable one for the 44-year-old Levine. Aside from the successful residency, he and his wife, model Behati Prinsloo, 35, joyously welcomed their third child, a son, in January.
“I don’t know how you can have a better life. I’m lucky enough to do what I love professionally, but also have the greatest personal life and family I could ever ask for,” he expressed. “Having kids and a wonderful wife, and just that life that I cling so much to. I love it so much.”
Naturally, the festive season will find the family of five celebrating together. When asked about his most anticipated aspect of Christmas, Levine shared, “Just being with my family and loving on ’em, loving ’em all.”
The three-time Grammy winner emphasized that his family “means everything” to him.
“It means more than my career,” he expressed. “But at the same time, having both is just a gift. And I think you don’t appreciate s— like that until you get a little older… As the years go on, I just get sappier and more sentimental about it. I love it so damn much.”
Without a doubt, Levine is not resting on his laurels. Maroon 5 is actively engaged in creating new music while gearing up for another stint in Vegas. However, they prioritize quality over quantity when it comes to releasing songs.
“We’re always working on music, but there’s some stuff we’re working on now that we’re absolutely in love with,” he revealed. “At this point, we don’t want to release anything until we’re happy. I think it gets harder, too.”
In a humorous vein, Levine added, “I don’t think there’s anyone that’s been able to write and produce good material for too long. Eventually, everyone starts to suck. So I’m hoping that I can last a little bit longer before I start sucking.”
