Lorde’s 2017 hit is featured in the Tony-nominated Broadway production John Proctor Is the Villain, in which Sink appeared earlier this year.

Sadie Sink Makes Surprise Appearance at Lorde’s London Concert

Stranger Things star Sadie Sink made an unexpected cameo during Lorde’s performance at London’s O2 Arena on Sunday, Nov. 16. The 23-year-old actress joined the two-time Grammy winner onstage while she performed her 2017 hit “Green Light” as part of the Ultrasound World Tour. This marked the first of two nights Lorde, 29, is performing at the venue.

Footage shared on TikTok by PopBase shows Sink and Lorde holding hands, singing along, and energetically dancing as green lights bathe the stage. At one point, Lorde shouted to the crowd, “get the f— up!” as the pair moved with abandon.

Sink’s appearance follows her starring role in the Tony-nominated Broadway play John Proctor Is the Villain, in which “Green Light” played a key role. In June, Sink spoke to Vogue about the song’s significance in the show, reflecting on her admiration for Lorde. “Oh my God, I’m a huge Lorde fan. I’m so excited for the new album,” she said. “Solar Power was such an important album for me. Following her through her different eras…she really was that person for me.”

Earlier this year, in July, Lorde attended a performance of John Proctor Is the Villain. Playwright Kimberly Belflower shared an Instagram post capturing the moment, writing:

“To share this play with her, to watch her hands dance in the air while her music blasts through the Booth Theatre, to look her in the eye and (attempt to) tell her what she means to me, to see her take such care with everyone who made this production, to hug her, to watch her stage door (!!!?!??) was maybe the most surreal and beautiful night in this entire surreal and beautiful journey. I will never ever ever forget it or get over it.”
