Justin Bieber has been doing some deep reflecting.

On Feb. 20, the 30-year-old pop star shared a heartfelt message on his Instagram Stories about personal growth and change, accompanied by John Mayer’s cover of Tom Petty’s Free Fallin’.

“It’s time to grow up! Change comes from letting go, not just trying harder!” Bieber wrote. “Are you exhausted from following all the rules, hoping to create the results you want?”

The Grammy-winning artist reflected on his journey, sharing that he has come to see love as more powerful than rigid rules.

“I tried to follow the rules. I’m not good at it,” Bieber admitted. “But you don’t need to follow rules to live a life of love—you just receive it.”

Encouraging a love-centered approach to life, he added, “So step into love! God always grants us love—it’s one of His promises!”

Bieber went on to explain his perspective on personal growth: “When you receive God’s love, you start to change and naturally follow love. Maturity doesn’t come from effort—it comes from letting go.”

“Today, I’m letting go and reminding myself that the weight of change isn’t on me—it’s on God,” Bieber wrote. “So this morning, I’m giving Him all my insecurities and fears, knowing He gladly takes them. I’m asking Jesus to genuinely help me with just the next step today.”

Earlier this month, Bieber celebrated Valentine’s Day with his wife, Hailey, with whom he shares their son, Jack Blues, born in August 2024. The Peaches singer posted a series of romantic snapshots of the couple striking playful and sweet poses in a photo booth.

“Happy Valentine’s Day from the Biebers,” Bieber captioned his Instagram post at the time.

Lately, he has also been hinting at new music. On Feb. 9, he shared a series of photos from recording studios, featuring microphones, instruments, and other equipment, sparking excitement among fans.

The Sorry singer hasn’t dropped a studio album since Justice in 2021, which included hit singles like Holy with Chance the Rapper, Lonely with Benny Blanco, Anyone, Peaches with Daniel Caesar and Giveon, and Ghost.
