The singer injured her head while performing on her No Secrets tour in China.
Jessie J shared that she had to be taken to the hospital for an MRI after accidentally hitting her head on a car roof while in China.
The 37-year-old performer said she briefly worried she might have seriously injured her neck after the incident, which happened as she was getting into a black minivan during her No Secrets tour stop in Hangzhou.
In an Instagram video posted on March 21, Jessie is seen telling her team she didn’t mind squeezing into the back seat—just moments before striking her head on the vehicle. A follow-up clip showed her at the hospital preparing for a scan, where she joked in the caption that she probably should have reconsidered that decision.
While rehearsing later, she explained that she was experiencing stiffness and pain, saying she could barely move her head. Although she initially feared a severe injury, she clarified that she hadn’t broken her neck, but had still hurt her neck and back enough to need pain relief while continuing her schedule.
Fans quickly flooded the comments with messages of support, wishing her a fast recovery and expressing concern over the incident.
Jessie is currently traveling with her two-year-old son, Sky Safir Cornish Colman, whom she shares with Chanan Colman. In a sweet moment from the video, her son complimented her appearance while she was getting ready for a performance, calling her “beautiful,” which she warmly acknowledged.
The singer has been open about her health journey in recent years. In 2025, she revealed she had been diagnosed with breast cancer and underwent a mastectomy. Just weeks after the operation, she was hospitalized again due to a suspected blood clot in her lungs.
Later that year, she shared that she would need another surgery, though it was postponed. Speaking candidly during an appearance on Jools Holland’s Annual Hootenanny on New Year’s Eve, Jessie maintained a positive outlook, even humorously reflecting on the changes following her procedure.
