On the Chicks in the Office podcast, Lovato reflected on the “incredible” experience of reuniting with the Jonas Brothers for a surprise performance at New Jersey’s MetLife Stadium.
Taking the stage with the Jonas Brothers in 2025 marked a meaningful milestone for Demi Lovato.
The 32-year-old “Fast” singer made an unannounced appearance at the group’s Aug. 10 concert at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, performing the Camp Rock favorites “This Is Me” and “Wouldn’t Change a Thing.”
Speaking on the Chicks in the Office podcast, Lovato described the experience as “healing,” admitting she felt a wave of nerves beforehand. It was her first time in years performing Camp Rock songs alongside the Jonas Brothers.
Demi Lovato admits she wishes she could have been more present during her surprise Camp Rock reunion with the Jonas Brothers — but the nerves got in the way.
“I wish I could’ve really taken it all in, but I was so focused on remembering whether I was singing the chorus or the verse,” the Grammy-nominated artist shared on the Chicks in the Office podcast. “I was so nervous about hitting my marks that I didn’t completely soak up all the love.”
Lovato, who played Mitchie Torres in both Camp Rock films, said the crowd’s energy ultimately filled her with “warmth and love.”
The reunion came together quickly, with Joe Jonas — who portrayed Shane Gray in the movies and briefly dated Lovato in 2010 — inviting her just a week before the Aug. 10 MetLife Stadium show.
“It was so healing for me. The Jonas Brothers and I have been through so much together,” she explained. The singer added that the brothers visited her dressing room to meet her husband, Jordan “Jutes” Lutes, and personally thank her for flying across the country to join them. “It meant so much to feel that appreciated,” she said.
During the concert, Joe noted it had been “almost 10 years” since they performed “This Is Me” together, with Lovato suggesting it might have been even longer.
In the same interview, Lovato revealed she recently rewatched both Camp Rock movies — which also starred Kevin and Nick Jonas as Connect Three members Jason and Nate — with a friend.
“I see those films, and even my albums, as scrapbooks,” she said, explaining that the franchise was more than just another project. Though she’s been candid about facing mental health and addiction struggles during her Disney Channel years, Lovato remembers those movies as a source of joy. “They gave me so much life during a dark time. Even though I was struggling, those projects brought me real happiness.”
