Coldplay Surprises Fans with ROSÉ During ‘APT’ Performance in Seoul — Watch the Moment

By Website Content Manager

ROSÉ dropped her collaborative track “APT” with Bruno Mars in October.

Coldplay had an unforgettable surprise for fans in Seoul.

At their concert on Tuesday, April 22, held at Goyang Stadium in South Korea, the band shocked the crowd by bringing out BLACKPINK’s ROSÉ for a live rendition of her hit track “APT.”

Following the performance, both Coldplay and 28-year-old ROSÉ posted highlights to Instagram, capturing the moment she walked confidently down the stage’s catwalk while singing the fan-favorite tune.

Originally recorded with Bruno Mars, the track featured a special twist for the live show — Coldplay’s Chris Martin stepped in to sing Bruno’s parts, joining in with the chorus: “It’s whatever (whatever), it’s whatever (whatever), it’s whatever (whatever) you like (hoo).”

Released in October, “APT” appears on ROSÉ’s first full-length album, Rosie. The track quickly gained momentum, climbing to No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100 following its debut.

The unexpected duet with Coldplay took place during the fourth of six concerts in South Korea as part of the band’s Music of the Spheres world tour. Opening for the group during their South Korea leg is K-pop sensation TWICE, who joined them on stage on April 17 for a performance of the “We Pray” remix — a moment Coldplay later shared on social media.

ROSÉ dropped Rosie on December 6 during BLACKPINK’s group hiatus, marking a significant milestone in her solo career. In January, she reflected on the previous year with a heartfelt message posted on Instagram, calling 2024 the most challenging yet fulfilling year she’s experienced.

“2024 was both the hardest and most rewarding year of my life,” she wrote in the caption, which accompanied a collection of personal photos. “I finally got to dive into what I’ve always wanted — making music. And I made a lot of it.”

She shared that while the journey had its struggles and doubts, she was grateful for the incredible friendships she formed along the way.

“As tough as it was, I came away with some amazing life lessons, lifelong friends, and an album I’m truly proud of,” she said of Rosie.

She closed the note with a message to her fans: “Thank you to all my number ones who’ve supported and loved Rosie. 2024 will always be a year to remember — and it feels like just the beginning of a much more exciting journey that I can’t wait to take you on.”
