The “24K Magic” artist joked about previously debunked claims suggesting his rumored gambling habits had gotten out of hand.
Bruno Mars Is Earning Big and Poking Fun at Rumors
Bruno Mars is not only bringing in cash but also having a laugh at the expense of recent speculation.
The 39-year-old performer behind “24K Magic” delighted fans at Los Angeles’ SoFi Stadium on Sunday, July 13, when he made a surprise appearance alongside Rosé during BLACKPINK’s DEADLINE World Tour, joining her onstage to perform their popular collaboration “APT.”
The next day, Mars took to Instagram to share a playful post, writing, “Almost out of debt BehhhhhBehhhhh!!! Preciate You ROSAAAAYYYYYY!!!! 🥳.” The video accompanying the caption showed him grinning while running onto the stage amidst falling confetti—seemingly alluding to a controversial report earlier in March 2024.
MGM Resorts International quickly denied the report, praising their collaboration with the “Treasure” singer. In a statement to PEOPLE, the company expressed strong support for Mars:
“We’re proud to work with Bruno Mars, one of the most exciting and dynamic performers in the world. From his residency shows at Dolby Live at Park MGM to his Pinky Ring lounge at Bellagio, his unique style of entertainment draws fans globally.”
They added, “Our partnership with Bruno is built on mutual respect and longstanding cooperation. Any rumors to the contrary are false—he holds no debt with MGM. We’re looking forward to continuing to create amazing guest experiences together.”
This isn’t the first time Mars has poked fun at the claims.
Back in January, the “Leave the Door Open” star subtly referenced the situation while celebrating a historic streaming achievement. After Spotify announced he was the first artist to reach 150 million monthly listeners on the platform, he shared the news with the caption: “Keep streaming! I’ll be out of debt in no time!”
Despite the buzz, Mars has mostly let MGM handle the public response, choosing instead to respond with light-hearted humor.
