The upcoming 2024 Grammy Awards promises a lineup of powerhouse performers! The Recording Academy revealed on Monday that Billie Eilish, Olivia Rodrigo, and Dua Lipa are slated to take the stage at the 66th annual awards ceremony. The event is scheduled to be broadcast live from Los Angeles’ Crypto.com Arena at 8 p.m. ET on CBS, on Feb. 4.

This trio of musicians is the initial wave of performers announced, with more acts anticipated to be revealed in the forthcoming weeks. Billie Eilish, aged 22, recently secured the Best Original Song award for “What Was I Made For?” from Barbie at the 2024 Golden Globes, a track she created with her brother Finneas O’Connell. The song was also a nominee for Best Song at the Critics’ Choice Awards held on Sunday.

Billie Eilish’s emotive ballad has earned her multiple nominations at the upcoming Grammy Awards. The song has secured her nods in various categories, including Record of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Pop Solo Performance, Best Song Written for Visual Media, and Best Music Video. Additionally, Eilish, alongside Labrinth, is in contention for the Best Pop Duo/Group Performance award for their collaboration “Never Felt So Alone,” solidifying her as one of the most nominated artists of the night.

Eilish shares the spotlight with Olivia Rodrigo, who, at the age of 20, also received six nominations. Rodrigo’s critically acclaimed sophomore album, “Guts,” has earned her recognition in the Album of the Year and Best Pop Vocal Album categories. The lead single from the album, “Vampire,” has secured nominations for Record of the Year, Song of the Year, and Best Pop Solo Performance. Additionally, Rodrigo’s “Ballad of a Homeschooled Girl” has earned her a nomination in the Best Rock Song category. The impressive number of nominations for both Eilish and Rodrigo positions them as standout contenders for the prestigious awards.

Olivia Rodrigo expressed her gratitude and excitement about the Grammy nominations during an interview with PEOPLE at the Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes premiere in Los Angeles. She described the nominations as “such an honor” and expressed pleasure in being recognized by the music community in such a significant way. Rodrigo shared her gratitude, stating, “I’m very grateful.”

She also highlighted the joy of seeing many of her friends receive nominations, noting that it adds to the excitement. Rodrigo remarked, “Honestly, sometimes that’s more exciting than you getting nominated. [You are] just so proud of everyone that you love.” Her sentiments reflect the camaraderie and shared success within the music community, emphasizing the sense of pride and support for her peers.

At 28 years old, Dua Lipa is no stranger to the Grammy Awards, having previously won three times and graced the stage as a performer. This year, she is nominated for Song of the Year and Best Song Written for Visual Media for her track “Dance the Night,” featured on the Barbie soundtrack.

The upcoming ceremony will feature Trevor Noah as the host for the fourth consecutive year. The 39-year-old comedian, also nominated for Best Comedy Album, expressed his excitement about the honor during an episode of his podcast, “What Now? With Trevor Noah.” He shared, “It’s a lot of fun. I enjoy the Grammys because I get to watch the show in person and then experience and comment on it in person while it’s happening.” Noah’s hosting role adds an extra layer of anticipation to the upcoming event.
