The rapper and talk show host performed a cover of the Backstreet Boys during their appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Monday, January 13.

Bad Bunny is turning the subway into his newest performance venue!

On Monday, January 13, the 30-year-old rapper and singer joined Jimmy Fallon, 50, on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, where they surprised fans by busking on a New York City subway platform.

“Hey everyone, I’m at the 50th Street subway station right below Rockefeller Center with Bad Bunny,” Fallon announced to viewers as the duo got into their disguises. “We’re about to head to the subway platform and start busking in disguise.”

He added, “No one has any idea this is happening. Nobody knows it’s Bad Bunny. Let’s do this.”

Donning wigs, sunglasses, and fake facial hair, the pair made their way to the platform, ready to surprise unsuspecting commuters.

With support from the show’s house band, The Roots, Fallon kicked off the surprise performance by singing the opening verse of the Backstreet Boys’ classic hit, “I Want It That Way.”

As Fallon and Bad Bunny, each holding tambourines, harmonized on the iconic chorus, a crowd quickly formed around them. Fans eagerly joined in, singing along and capturing the unexpected performance on their phones.

By the time the cover wrapped up, a sizable crowd had gathered, clapping and cheering for the impromptu performance. Fallon then revealed their true identities, saying, “Welcome to New York City, I’m Jimmy Fallon,” as he and Bad Bunny removed their disguises to the excited crowd.

The crowd’s cheers and applause intensified as fans expressed their shock and excitement.

“This is Bad Bunny, he’s got a new record out,” Fallon said, as the enthusiasm around them grew. “Let’s do one more song.”

Bad Bunny then performed his hit “NUEVAYoL,” while Fallon danced along, shaking his tambourine to the beat.
