The Australian actress had previously revealed that she was familiar with Adéla and was hoping to catch one of the singer’s live performances.
Adéla is stepping into the world of Hollywood glamour with her latest music video.
The Slovak pop singer released the visual for her new track “Nicole Kidman” on Friday, Sept. 4. The song appears on her debut album, PRIMA, and pays playful tribute to several memorable characters portrayed by the Oscar-winning actress.
Throughout the video, 22-year-old Adéla recreates the mood and style of some of Kidman’s most recognizable movie roles. She opens the visual wearing lingerie and heels, drawing inspiration from Kidman’s character in the 2024 erotic thriller Babygirl.
The singer then appears in a series of revealing and glamorous looks as she dances along to the provocative pop track. The lyrics reference both Babygirl and Moulin Rouge! while comparing Adéla’s confidence and stage presence to Kidman’s on-screen persona.
Later in the video, Adéla leans further into the Moulin Rouge! aesthetic. The 2001 musical starred Kidman as Satine, one of the actress’s most celebrated film performances.
The visual ends with another unmistakable nod to Kidman. Adéla recreates the actress’s famous AMC Theatres commercial, giving the video a final dose of Hollywood-inspired flair.
Adéla first gained widespread attention after appearing on the 2023 reality competition series Dream Academy. Her new song also comes shortly after Kidman herself revealed that she is familiar with the rising pop star.
During the London premiere of Practical Magic 2 on Aug. 26, Kidman was approached by a fan who asked whether she knew Adéla. After briefly thinking about the question, the actress confirmed that she did.
Kidman also revealed that she planned to attend one of Adéla’s concerts, specifically mentioning the singer’s upcoming Nashville performance at The Basement East on Sept. 21 as part of her Red Bottoms Tour.
The unexpected connection between the Hollywood star and rising pop singer adds another fun layer to Adéla’s “Nicole Kidman” video, making the tribute feel especially timely.
