The group began their residency on July 11.

The Backstreet Boys’ latest Las Vegas run is proving to be a major payday.

According to a report from TMZ on Thursday, Aug. 28, the group — Nick Carter, AJ McLean, Kevin Richardson, Brian Littrell, and Howie Dorough — is raking in around $4 million per show during their Sphere residency.

Insiders told the outlet that production costs are relatively low, with one of the band’s largest expenses being a one-time payment of about $7–8 million for the visual graphics used throughout the concerts. The investment has already been recouped, the sources added.

Representatives for the Backstreet Boys did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment.

The residency, titled Into the Millennium, brings their iconic 1999 album Millennium to life on stage. The first set of shows ran from July 11–27, with additional dates on Aug. 15–17 and Aug. 22–24. The group will return Dec. 26 through Jan. 3, 2026, before resuming with newly announced dates from Feb. 5–15.

In a press release on Aug. 20, the band thanked fans for their overwhelming support, writing: “To our fans who have been with us for the past 30 years — and to all the new fans who’ve recently joined us — thank you from the bottom of our hearts. You asked for more, and we can’t wait to deliver with more Sphere shows in 2026. Get those white outfits ready — this is going to be larger than life.”

Before the residency began, Dorough, 52, told PEOPLE that performing at the Sphere was a dream opportunity: “When this came to us, it just made sense. It’s a comeback on the next level — you can’t get any bigger than the Sphere.”

The group had previously wrapped a successful Las Vegas residency years ago, and according to them, they were simply waiting for the right chance to make their return.
