I was born in Ireland. Yes, I’m the biggest leprechaun you’ll ever see! Got into radio there at age 15. Was awesome! That same year, moved to the good ol’ USA to join my Mom here in living the dream! Graduated from Helix High school in San Diego, and went to Grossmont Junior College. First year there, was lucky to get a job at KFMB radio in San Diego. Went on to San Diego State University, and continued working and climbing the latter at KFMB. Met some scrawny kid named Duffy there.
Went on to work in Santa Rosa, CA…where I was a frog (don’t ask…) and wound up back in San Diego again. Decided to pursue the American dream of business ownership, and went in with that scrawny kid from KFMB to buy some radio stations in the Clovis/Portales area, to live out the dream! I, along with my Wife, 4 kids, dogs, horses, birds…and countless other critters…are having a ball!

I was born and raised in central New Jersey, just a stone-throw from Philadelphia, PA. I lived there with my mother and step-father and spent every Summer in San Diego, CA with my father. I was a typical nerdy kid. Got straight A’s, tried to be athletic (wow, that was bad), and frequently got in trouble for cracking jokes at school. I knew from day one that I’d someday be an obstetrician, radio DJ, or small-arms dealer. I ended up going the DJ route. Much easier than med-school or foreign negotiation.
I met Steve while working at KFMB in San Diego. I worked there for 9 years. Also spent some time at KOGO, KGB, KPOP in San Diego and, in 2002, moved here to "do radio" on the High Plains. I'm living a dream right now. I have two beautiful little girls that keep me grounded and remind me that I'm just "dumb 'ol Dad", not some big-shot radio guy. I love those two more than women love shoes...that's a lot! I have a great girlfriend that is trying desperately to make me cool. She has her work cut out for her. Her son completes our quirky little family. He’s a tough guy…regularly kicks my butt.
I get to play on the radio every day, which is something I've wanted to do for as long as my little mind can remember. I own a business with my best friend and I get to hang out, daily, with the coolest people in the world. Other than that, I enjoy getting out and about and hanging with you’s guys as often as I can. I like being a part of everything I can in town, weather I’m invited or not. I once got kicked out of a Burger King and I’ve never once eaten a Rocky Mountain Oyster. I have, however, dined on raw eel. I don’t recommend it. There you go…just some of the more important things about me.

What is the most exotic location you have actually been to?
Probably Guam...although I was there on a "working" trip to visit the men and women of the AF from Cannon AFB. Non-working trip, I'd have to say Mesquite, Nevada.
What is the dumbest thing you remember doing as a kid?
Killing a frog with a bow and arrow made of sticks was pretty stupid. Oh, and that time that I made claymation women parts for an 8th grade science fair project. The inside parts, that is. Still can't figure out why my parents laughed so hard when I showed it to them.
What is your favorite dessert?
Yellow cake with chocolate frosting. Put it on my head and my tongue will slap me to death.
Do you have any pets?
Frank the tank, Frank in the bank, Frank "I wanna thank". He's the weener. Dog that is. We also have Beans...a Welsch Corgi puppy. You should see it...the dog can actually smile. Although he has a mouth leak. Everytime he drinks he leaves a 20 foot water trail from the bowl to the couch. Then again, Steve does the same thing.
What did you plan to be when you grew up?
Q Tip tester. I learned quickly that they're underpaid. So I changed my mind and decided to become a pro-wrestler. That didn't work out so well either.

Scooby-Doo on the left arm, Grumpy Dwarf on the right.

If I went dumpster diving, I'd have to wear scuba gear. Other than that, no. Although I did gag so hard that I threw up in the Ocean while snorkling off of Guam. The fish ate it...it was gross and made me throw up again. Vicious circle it was.
How'd you wind up living on the High Plains?
New York City seemed too low-key for me. LA didn't have the excitement I was looking for. Clovis was a home run.

What’s the strangest food you ever willingly ate?
In Japan I ate eel. It was absolutely horrible. It was like chewing on a 19-year-olds tennis shoe after they had run a half marathon in 80-degree heat, wearing fuzzy socks and ankle weights. Disgusting.
If you could visit one person that you haven’t seen since you were a kid, who would it be and why?
Coach Zuck. SOB never could get my name right. Once I got that out of the way, I'd visit Mr. Guigliardo from 11th grade Honors English. He inspired me and put up with me all at the same time. The man was a genius and model for all teachers. If he's dead, I'd like to visit some of my old rollerskating buddies.
