Details:  Online registration for Clovis Baseball Association is now open! Clovis Baseball Association is open to anyone ages 4-15. Registration cost is $55 per player. The season will begin on April 6th. Visit clovisbaseball.com to register or for more information.

9:00 am: Clovis American Little League Registration

Location:  The Java Loft, 810 E 21st St, Clovis, NM 88101, USA
Details:  Clovis American Little League Baseball registration will take place from 9am-4pm at The Java Loft in Clovis. Children must be between the ages of 4 & 16 to participate. Registration cost is $65 per player. Find Clovis American Little League Baseball on Facebook for more information.

10:00 am: Roosevelt County Little League Registration

Location:  Memorial Building, 200 E 7th St, Portales, NM 88130, USA
Details:  Registration is now open for Roosevelt County Little League Baseball and Softball. There are multiple divisions in both softball and baseball for children ages 4-16. Location:  St. Ann's Catholic Church, Bovina TX
Details:  St. Ann's Catholic Church in Bovina is hosting their Annual Sausage Dinner from 11:30am-2pm. Adult cost is $12 per person and kids ages 6 and under are $6 each. St. Ann's Church is located at 409 S 3rd Street.

7:30 am: Call for Art Entries

Location:  Golden Student Success Center, 1500 S. Ave. K Station 32, Portales, NM 88130, USA
Details:  Submit your creative work to the 11th Annual Juried Student Art Exhibit! Any public, private, or homeschooled student in kindergarten through their senior year of college is eligible to enter. Selections from each grade level for inclusion in the exhibition, as well as first, second, and third place for each division and an overall Best of Show will be chosen from the entire body of work submitted. 10:00 am: Crochet 101

Location:  The Happy Place, 109 S Main Ave, Portales, NM 88130, USA
Details:  The Happy Place in Portales is hosting a basic crochet class for beginners at 10am. The class will cover the basics of crochet, such as chains, singles, doubles and basic pattern reading. 6:30 pm: Clovis Youth Volleyball Registration

Location:  Roy S Walker Recreation Center, 316 W 2nd St, Clovis, NM 88101, USA
Details:  Clovis Youth Volleyball registration is now open! You can register at Roy Walker gym located at 316 W 2nd from 6:30-7:30pm. ONGOING EVENTS ON THE HIGH PLAINS

Hope Children’s Home in Clovis is in need of help with their food pantry. Regular needs are fresh fruit and vegetables, sliced bread, & tortillas. Other items needed are toiletries and clothing for children of all ages.


The American Red Cross in Clovis is offering CPR Training. Cost is $45 per person and training can be set to accommodate participant’s schedules. Discounts are available for groups of 12 or more. Certificates will be valid for 2 years. For more information, call 763-4129 for more details.


The GLU Factory is in need of donations of twin bedding, all household items including cleaning supplies and laundry soap, toiletries, towels and other necessities for their residents at the home. They are also in need of men’s large and extra-large clothing (new & gently used). For more details, call 935-4458.


Hartley House in Clovis is in need of donations of pajamas, dolls and trucks for the children staying in the safe house. For more details, call 762-0050.


Arise Sexual Assault Services is in need of donations of new clothing (prefer dark & loose) for both men, women and children in all sizes. They are also in need of new items for the children – stuffed animals, dolls, coloring books, crayons, ect. Other items needed are feminine hygiene products.  For more details, call 226-7263.


The El Desayuno Kiwanis Club in Clovis is conducting their Annual Flag Fundraiser. Cost is $35 per year and flags will be placed at your home or business on 10 occasions throughout the year. For more details, contact Jim at 762-7850.


Girl Scouts of New Mexico Trails is seeking role models and volunteers to assist with the program. These roles include; Troop Family and Friends, Troop Leader/Co-Leader, Service Unit Volunteers, Cookie Volunteers and Event/Program Volunteers. The Curry County Retired and Senior Volunteer Program are currently seeking volunteers to share their time, experience, talent and knowledge within the communities. The Community Services Center in Portales is currently in need of donations for the CSC Food Pantry. Donations may be dropped off at the center located at 1100 Community Way. For more details, call 356-8576 ext. 10.


The Pregnancy Resource Center offers a program called “Earn While You Learn” for their clients. The program allows new and expectant parents to participate in prenatal, newborn care and parenting classes through the center. Through this, they earn “Baby Bucks” to spend in the Baby Boutique. The center is currently in need of the following items to help stock the Baby Boutique; diapers, wipes, baby clothes, formula, baby food, bottles, blankets, toys, crib (new and used – must meet current safety standards), crib sheets, Pack & Play (new and used), car seats (must be new), Baby carriers/slings and CATS Bus passes. Matt 25 offers Anger Management classes on Thursday at 6pm weekly. This 8 week course is $150 and can be entered at anytime. Matt 25 also offers a 9 week Parenting Class for $180. This course requires sign up so please contact Matt 25 to do so.

Life Skills Classes are 24 weeks long and go deep into different life skills and how to deal with issues. The cost is based on income and has a sliding scale. You must sign up in advance for this course. For more information, check out lifeskillsclovis.com or call 935-4411.
